Sense stimulation is the best way of
enhancing a learning experience and in the true spirit of providing hands-on
learning experiences. ‘Sense Booth’ was organized on 4th & 5th
July 2017 at Witty World Bangur Nagar for the children of Jr. KG .
The set up incorporated activities to
stimulate all the five senses:
1.
Sense of Taste – Gustatory
2.
Sense of Smell- Olfactory
3.
Sense of Sight- Vision
4.
Sense of Hearing- Auditory
5.
Sense of Touch- Tactile
Wittians
experienced Day and Night, colourful objects, textured path, different textured
materials, sound materials like musical instruments and pre-recorded sounds
were displayed for the sense of sight, touch and auditory respectively.
They
were also made to taste different food items to understand the concept of
sweet, sour, bitter and salty taste.
Children
differentiated between foul smell and good smell by smelling items like
perfumes, incense sticks and scented candles.
The children definitely had a
“sensational” experience!!!
