Classical Music Concert of Sabir Khan held at WIS,Atun Road, Bhilwara (24.08.17)



Classical music has been proven to be the music of intelligence. Recent studies have shown that listening to classical music can have lasting effects on one's brain; it can stimulate brain function in developing infants and improve comprehension of math and other computing skills in adults. It trains the brain to acknowledge all the parts that work together to make the whole. We have, in popular culture, begun to associate classical music with a certain class of people: a class of people that is wise, calm and brimming with astonishing intellect.
Hence, to promote Indian classical music Witty International School, Bhilwara organized a Classical music concert of the renowned Indian Classical Sarangi player and singer Sabir Khan on Thursday, August 24, 2017. Sabir Khan is an Indian Sarangi player. He belongs to Sikar Gharana (school) of music who has given several stalwarts to Indian Classical music. Sabir Khan was born in Jodhpur (Raj.). He is the ninth generation to take up Sarangi, after his father the iconic Ustad Sultan Khan.
The melody of his voice kept everyone spellbound. When he played Saare Jahan Se Accha on his sarangi, the audience started singing on the beats of his sarangi. Everyone was mesmerized with his voice when he sang “Albela Sajan aao re”. It was an unforgettable experience for everyone.
