and he saw goes see, saw, see
He planes and he measures
and he hammers and he saws,
while he builds a house for me
On Monday 24th
July 2017, Junior KG section met another community helper Mr. Carpenter. It was
an experiential learning experience and will go a long way in their little
minds; the carpenter came with tools to the classes and showed to the children,
how they are used - the hammer, saw, framing square, hand plane, tape measure,
screwdrivers and fevicol.
The live
demonstration helped them to actually view the tools of carpenter and
understand how each one is used for a different purpose to make furniture. Children
learnt about various equipment used by carpenter and they were also able to
discuss the wooden furniture such as table, chair, benches, drawers, doors,
etc. made by him. Our little Wittians were super excited to meet Mr. Carpenter.
