Janmashtami is the yearly observance of Krishna's appearance on earth. It is one of the world's most widely observed spiritual festivals. Krishna's "birth,"janma, occurred at midnight onashtami, the eighth day after the full moon in the Vedic calendar. Janmasthami is celebrated with all fervour at WIS,Atun Road,Bhilwara on Monday, August 14,2017. Students of Grade I to VIII energetically participated in the celebration. They presented fantastic dances, melodious bhajans etc. which filled the atmosphere with a spiritual feeling. Students of Grade VII and VIII presented a skit which was highly appreciated by everyone.
The celebration concluded with “Dahi
Handi Fod” activity. At the end the whole school echoed in one voice i.e.
“Haathi Ghoda Paalki, Jai Kanaihyaa Lal ki”.
