Riding around on the Big Red Bus,
Viewing all the sights from the bus,
Bus stopping at every stop,
When the bell rings the bus driver will
stop.
As part of the theme for the month, ‘Wheels and Wings’ , Senior K.G.
children of Witty World, Bangur Nagar were taken to Malad Bus Depot on
Wednesday, 06th September, 2017. Children explored the various departments like
maintenance and repair, painting area and scrap yard in the bus depot. The
children were also shown the different tools used by the mechanic to repair the
bus. The conductor of the bus gave dummy tickets to the children and they were
explained the importance of always travelling with a ticket, there was a Ticket
Checker who also checked the tickets given to the children. Children
learned the significance of symbols drawn in the bus, like seats reserved for
senior citizens, handicap people and ladies. The real fun however, began when
children were taken for a short ride in the bus in the bus depot and
were shown how buses are washed in the depot with all the latest equipments.
It was a hands-on experience for the children to see how the BEST
functions.
