Literacy has been described as the ability to read for knowledge
and write coherently and also to think critically about the written word. As a
part of Enrichment Hour activity students of Grade I to VIII were given
information about the importance of World Literacy Day and were encouraged to
bring awareness that literacy is a human right, a tool for personal empowerment
and means of social and human development.
Students of Witty International School, Atun Road,Bhilwara
celebrated World Literacy Day with complete enthusiasm and zeal. Students did
various activities related to literacy in their classroom.
