World Smile Day Celebrated at Witty International School, Udaipur

‘Symbol of good will and cheer’
Harvey Ball, an artist from Massachusetts created the smiley face in 1963. As years passed people forgot the meaning and intent of this symbol. He thought that we all should devote atleast oneday each year to smiles and acts throughout the world. He declared that the first Friday in October month each year would henceforth be World Smile Day.
So keeping the words of Harvey in mind, Wittians celebrated World Smile Day. Students of Grade 1 and 2 made smiley faces and wrote a slogan ‘Always remember to smile’. Students of Grade 3 to 5 also made beautiful smiley faces and wrote a few lines about what makes them smile.

Students participated with great zeal and learnt that a smiling face knows no politics, no geography and no religion. Everyone can make a difference by just being caring and compassionate on World Smile Day.
