The Musical Storm
It is rightly said, “Music is the language of the
souls and what cannot be put into words can be expressed through music.”
Keeping the above thought in mind, recently Witty
International School, Pawan Baug grounds reverberated with gleeful music and
rapturous applause of the audience present for the 16th Annual Day Celebrations
based on the theme -‘Global Musical Fusion’.
Young Wittians of Primary Section presented a
Kaleidoscope of dance performances on
different types of music found in every known culture, past and present,
varying widely between times and places, creating ‘The Musical Storm’ on 22nd
December, 2017.
The plot unfolded the life story of a maestro of
music – A R Rahman who strongly believes that, “If music wakes you up, makes
you think, heals you… then the music is working.” An eclectic mix of melodious songs, unique
dances and enthralling performances showcased stunning visuals giving out a
meaningful message or tribute to well-known musicians and singers around the
world.
Not to forget the choir presented by the students
across Primary Section mesmerized the audience acting as an excellent
ice-breaker. The ground resounded with ‘Kandhon se milte hain kandhen’ when
students put up an energetic presentation of Gymnastics. The Grand Finale displaying ‘International
Art with a National Heart’ left the audience awestruck and created a patriotic
ambience.
Our
Honourable Managing Director and Trustee, Dr. Vinay Jain, in his
presidential address to the audience said, “You should encourage your students
effectively, create space for them and earn their trust so that they will share
problems with you.”
The event was graced by Senior Inspector of Police
Sudhir Mahadik, Singer Divya Kumar Singh, Sufi Singer and Music Composer
Prithvi Gandharv. Inspite of their busy schedule, the eminent guests managed to
attend the function and gave their valuable message and blessings to the
students. While addressing the students, the chief guest Mr.Mahadik threw light
on the safety of the children and gave some guiding tips to our Witty Parents.
Mr.Divya Kumar Singh and Mr.Prithvi Gandharv gained the attention of the audience
with their blissful songs.
Months of research, group discussions and unending
hours of practice resulted in a picture perfect event, which kept the audience
glued to the stage. We express our heartfelt gratitude to our Witty Parents for
their equal participation which served as a strong
motivation for us. The students of Witty International School, Pawan Baug
proved that they are capable of their musical and kinaesthetic aspects through
their marvellous performances.
