The main objective of
conducting a field trip for children is to reinforce contextual learning. Field
trips also offer children and teachers the opportunity to interact outside the 4
walls of the classroom, thus enhancing their bonding with each other and
improving their social skills.
As the theme of the month is ‘MY HOME’,
children of the Nursery Section of Witty World (Goregaon East) were taken for a
field trip to ‘EVERNOVA’ Furniture showroom on 30th August, 2018.
Children were excited to board the school bus to reach the showroom, where they
were shown basic furniture which they see and use in different rooms of
their home like sofas, dining table, chairs, beds, wardrobes, dressing tables
and so on. It was indeed an experiential
learning at its best.
