heroes waged a valiant struggle so that the future generations could live their
lives with dignity.
26th of
January holds an everlasting place in our national memory because it is the day
when modern India was born. Republic Day is celebrated in the honour of the
date when the Constitution of India came into effect. Witty kids
Chikoowadi celebrated Republic day with immense pride and grandeur.
The
celebration started with the hoisting of the national flag followed by the
National Anthem. There was an atmosphere of patriotic fervor in the school. The
passion and love of the students for our motherland was expressed through
elaborated speeches in Hindi and English. The choir group presented a medley of
patriotic songs. The whole school joined the choir and the songs reverberated
in the surroundings. The program concluded with a very inspiring speech by
Headmistress Ma’am where she highlighted the importance of the Constitution and
its unique features such as Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic and Republic
enshrined in the preamble of the constitution.
The students dispersed with each one buzzing
with patriotism. Each being a proud Indian. Jai hind!!
