Day, which is celebrated on 22nd April every year, is all about
appreciating the uniqueness of our planet Earth, while at the same time
educating ourselves about what we have and what we are losing by acting in ways
that aren’t environmentally friendly. The day also reminds us that we need to
take action now to protect our environment before it’s too late. The students
at Witty International School, Atun Road, Bhilwara celebrated World Earth Day
with a myriad of energized activities on Monday, April 22, 2019. Students of Grade I to V prepared drawings and posters
based on the theme ‘Save the Earth’ which had methods and suggestions on how to
save our nature.
In order to extend the awareness among the students, Grade VI
to IX students presented a special assembly. Different programmes
were presented by the students such as a speech and a song ‘My lovely Earth’. ‘Action speaks louder than words’ this
proverb was truly proved when the creative minds presented a Mime on this day where they expressed
the happiness and pain of our mother Earth through their loud and effective
expressions. Students were given a badge also made for the day. It was an opportunity
to spark a passion in students which will drive them to do their part to take
care of our Mother Earth.
