Mother’s Day celebrates
the glorious ideal of love and sacrifices called motherhood and is celebrated
with lot of enthusiasm in 46 countries across the globe. It is a celebration
honouring mothers and motherhood, the unconditional love of a mother and their
influence in our society. Mother’s Day is a day to show appreciation towards a
mother and motherly figures worldwide. This day is celebrated on the second
Sunday of May.
Mother’s Day is both an
opportunity to celebrate and salute our moms for the love, comfort and care
they provide us in so many ways taking out time between various struggles of
personal, professional and emotional life.
To generate this special
feeling in Wittians and to help them strengthen the bond with their mother,
WIS, Atun Road, Bhilwara had a special assembly on Mother’s Day on Friday, May
10, 2019. The assembly started with a speech highlighting the importance of
mothers in our life. Shlok and poems presented by students very clearly
signifies that a Mother is an ordinary woman but in her tiny appearance lays an
extraordinary fortitude, perseverance, an altruistic soul, and a very kind
heart. The melodious song ‘ Tu Kitni
Acchi Hai Maa’ presented by the students of Grade VIII touched the heart of
everyone. Students of Grade I and II also had a puppet card making activity
wherein kids made beautiful puppet cards for their mothers which were taken by
the students to home to gift their mothers as a token of love.
