Best out of Waste competition conducted at Witty Kids Chikoowadi by Grade I To Grade VI (2018-19)

Reuse it or lose it.

The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul.

Creativity is not just in creating beautiful pieces from an assortment of pretty colours and materials, it’s also in creating something of value from seemingly useless things. In today’s world recycling has a very important place. Witty Kids believe in ingraining in students, a love for nature and a responsibility to protecting it and with this purpose a ‘Best out of Waste’ competition was organised for students of class I – VI at Witty Kids, Chikuwadi.

Little hands and imaginative minds came together in a creative burst of energy during the competition. Students brought materials like newspapers, shoe boxes, bangles, ice cream sticks, CDs disposable glasses and created an amazing array of display items and useful everyday objects leaving everyone totally impressed. Students artistically made board games, pen stands, piggy banks,  flower vases to name a few. The activity helped the little Wittians of Grade I and II to improve their fine motor skills.

The values like preservation, recycling, conservation, reduce, reuse etc are imbibed on the young hearts and minds by demonstrating this noble act of caring our environment. They learnt that they should recycle waste, and use it for different purposes. Making crafts with waste is a great way to add the delightful feel to one’s home decor and it also helps in saving the environment. It was a treat to watch Wittians participating with so much energy and enthusiasm.
