Black & White Day Celebration with Jr KG Children at Witty World, Chikoowadi (2019-20)

Black is the colour of my hair,
White is the colour of my teeth,
Black is the colour of crow,
White is the colour of dove,
And Black and White is the colour of zebra....

Black is the darkest colour, the result of the absence or complete absorption of visible light. It is an achromatic colour, literally a colour without hue, like white (its opposite) and grey (its median). Black is often used symbolically or figuratively to represent darkness while white represents light. To highlight the importance of black and white colour the Jr.KG section at Witty World celebrated black and white day on Wednesday, 10 July 2019.

Children were delighted to see their teachers as well as their friends in black and white dresses.  Children were made to recognize black and white colour through different play way activities. A wide variety of black and white colour objects were displayed on the board. Five stars and a moon were drawn in the book by white crayon and children washed the book with diluted black paint creating magical effect to resemble the night sky.  This is called as Magic painting. Children enjoyed doing this activity to create magic in their life.
