Van Mahotsav celebrated by Grade I to Grade VI at Witty Kids, Chikoowadi (2019-20)

Plant a tree, Grow a flower, let’s give Mother Earth Back her Power!.

Van Mohatsav also known as ‘the festival of trees’ is celebrated as the carnival of life in India. During this, week long festival millions of trees are planted across the country.

At Witty Kids every opportunity is taken up to instil personal and social responsibilities in the students. The festival of Van Mohatsav was celebrated to sensitize students towards safe guarding and growing of trees. The activities were focussed towards creating a connect between the students and trees.

Students of Grade IV – VI participated in a plantation programme wherein they brought saplings of different medicinal and ornamental plants and planted them in the school premises. Grade I – III students participated in ‘Show and Tell’. Each student brought a prop related to trees and spoke about the importance of trees and the role they played to maintain the ecological balance. The activities helped to bring awareness and encouraged students to preserve and take care of Mother Earth.
