Double celebrations; calls for double merriment!!
Raksha Bandhan in 2019 has coincided with 15th August, which
happens to be India’s Independence Day. Though these are two separate
celebrations; one is a national celebration and another a religious one but
falling together of the two on the same day definitely added vibrant energy of
its own.
Keeping both the occasions in mind Witty International School,
Pawan Baug, Primary Section organized an event wherein Wittians of Grade I – V
geared up to celebrate the two occasions by exhibiting their adroitness through
various performances such as shadow dance, mime act, speech, fancy dress, and
Hindi skit.
Our children soaked in the celebrations and made it a day to
remember. It was a symbolic reminder of how Indians can stand united in the
face of diversity. We were delighted to watch our children showcasing brilliant
performances on such an auspicious day!
