Janmashtami celebrated at WIS, Udaipur

I am little Krishna, dark and cute,
This is my calf, and this is my flute....
When Vrindavan is sleeping,
I play my flute to invite the gopis to dance to My flute.

Krishna Janmashtami is a festival celebrated by the people of Hindu religion every year. It is celebrated as a birth anniversary of the Lord Krishna. Pre-Primary Section of Witty International School, Udaipur celebrated Janmashtami on 23rd August 2019.
Children were at their best, wearing traditional attire to celebrate the day with gaiety. The little kanhaiyas and gopis danced on the tunes of devotional songs of Lord Krishna. The little ones also presented a skit on the birth of Lord Krishna. They enacted the roles of Lord Krishna, Kansa, Nandlal and yashoda mayya peeping into the past days of his life. Sri Krishna as Natkhat makhan chor stole the hearts of everyone. Children also enjoyed doing Lord Krishna’s worksheet and the most fun and frolic awaited event- “Dahi-Handi” activity marked the occasion.

The festive attire and the energetic Janmashtami music swayed all of us into an environment which made us feel the presence of the Lord Almighty amongst us.
