Imagination carries us to worlds that never were. To unveil
the truth behind the dark spaces of the universe, Witty International School ,
Bhilwara acknowledged the world space day with the illuminating session on theme
of the year -- The moon :- gateway to the stars.
A head full of fears has no space for dreams but our keynote
speaker Mr. Manish Purohit entrepreneur and former scientist ISRO removed all
the fears and took our students of grade V to IX to next frontier by enlightening
our students with theory on Moon which helped our students to build a strong
work force for tomorrow .The programme aimed at educating students about space
activities and foster space cooperation among the students.
There were hands on activity and demos which not only engaged
the pupils in science but supported them in understating our natural satellite
but also the solar system and the worlds much further away. The students were
propelled with loads of fuel on insights of moon- its atmosphere, craters and
type of soil. The classical videos and
photos of our great astronauts were broadcasted to the students.
The story behind the Chandrayan – 2 and its failure was
elaborated and clarified which was otherwise was a hard nut to crack for our
little heads. The short session on gateway to the stars was highly provocational
and fruitful for our future scientists.
The programme culminated with the motivational speech by the principal,
Mrs Abha Mittal.
