Makar Sankranti Celebration by Pre-primary Section (2019-20), Witty World, Bangur Nagar


The Sun rises with new hope
Kites fly with vigour,
Crops are ready to be harvested,
All denoting hope, joy and abundance.

Makar Sankranti is one of the most famous festivals of Hindus; it is celebrated in all the parts of India in various cultural forms. It is a harvest festival that falls in the month of Paush. It is celebrated as a festival of kites and harvesting. Our Indian festivals serve as window to see the complete picture of our culture and traditions.
Little Wittians of  Witty World Bangur Nagar celebrated ‘Makar Sankranti’ on Tuesday, 14th  January 2020. The decoration done for the festival reflected the festive mood everywhere in the school premises. Children enjoyed making colourful kites in their scrap book. Teacher narrated the story of the importance of Makar Sankranti. The children got to taste ‘revdi’.

Children enjoyed the festival with great zeal and enthusiasm.
