At Witty World Bangur
Nagar, children of Pre-Primary section celebrated Republic day on Friday,
24th January 2020. During the Republic Day celebrations, all
classes were decorated in our national flag’s colours to create an atmosphere
of festivity. Children came dressed in tri-color clothes, colours which
complimented the zeal that they showed while participating in the various
Republic day activities.
The children were informed that Republic Day is celebrated on 26th of January of every year because India became a free and republic nation on 26th January 1950. Teacher also explained the importance of Republic Day to the children.

Children also received information
about the national symbols such as national flag, national anthem, national
emblem, national bird and national animal. The Republic Day celebration
included activity sessions wherein, children of Play Group section coloured the
National flag on their worksheet, Nursery and, Jr Kg made a collage of the
national flag and Sr KG Section made the tri-colour head gear. Later they had
great fun dancing to the tunes of the patriotic songs and watching an AV saying
the pledge and singing the national Anthem in the Auditorium.
It was indeed a patriotic celebration for the little ones.
