We believe
that ‘If we are able to grow as a creator, we can continue to be creative.’
It is our
constant endeavour to encourage and give an opportunity to our young minds to
express themselves through the oratory, writing,
imaginative and thinking skills. Keeping this
principle in wit and with the underlying intention to instil the significance
of English language 'Odyssey- English Literary Sparks' was held at Witty
International School, Borivali on 14th February, 2020.
Wittians participated enthusiastically in various categories like Voice your
Thoughts (Elocution), Shop a Book (Convincing audience to sell and motivate to
read your favourite book), If I had a Time Machine (Enactment of a famous
personality known for his/ her Literary work in the past), Fun with Idioms (Explaining the figurative and non- figurative meaning
of an Idiom in the form of a short story) and Quote It Out (Explain a Proverb).
Paragraph Writing was
mandatory for the students of Grade I - II whereas students of Grade III -
VI expressed their love towards their grandparents through a letter writing
activity.
Students
were very well prepared and self-assured to face the judges. This initiative
buoyant the students to strengthen their language expertise in English. The event concluded gracefully with lots of fun and enjoyment. It was
very pleasing to see students around in the festive red colour attires. All the students were given participation certificates
for their enrolment in various events and the winners in each category will be
awarded with commendation certificates.
