Fancy Dress with Poetry Recitation by Playgroup Section of Witty World Bangur Nagar and Goregaon East (2019-2020)

Lots of animals come from eggs

Some with fins

And some with legs

Some that chatter

Some that fly

And some that chirp

Some that fly

And some that creep

Some that slither

And some that run

Some with feathers

And some with none

Animal’s eggs can be quite small

Or just as big as a tennis ball

The animals here

They’re quite a few

Hatch from eggs

And lay them, too.

On Thursday, 5^th March, 2020 our Sparkling Stars of Playgroup section from Witty World Bangur Nagar and Witty World Goregaon East participated in Fancy Dress and poetry recitation along with their moms which was held at Emerald Auditorium Witty World Goregaon East. ‘Theme for Fancy Dress was ‘Marine Animals’, insects and flowers, fruits, vegetables, wild animals, 5 senses, transport.  Little Wittian came dressed as different types of Fish, vegetables, insects, wild animals etc. The mom’s motivated children to speak few words and recite poem about the character they were dressed up in. The program drew a lot of excitement and laughter amongst all.The purpose of conducting this was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the children by giving them an opportunity to speak in front of their peers. It was a visual treat to see all the little kids dressed in wonderful costumes. As a part of the motivational programme all the children were provided with a participation certificate towards the end. It was a great learning experience for the children and gave them a platform to develop their self-confidence. It was truly a visual treat to see all the little kids dressed in wonderful costumes along with their moms.
