Fossil Finds!
If you've ever visited a natural history museum, you've probably observed fossils of dinosaurs, mammoths, plants, and insects. In this lesson, you'll learn what a fossil is, how a fossil is formed, and what type of scientist studies fossils.
Without leaving the comfort of their homes during this Pandemic students of Witty International School, Borivali in collaboration with the STEAM Academy arranged a virtual field trip to Bhau Daji Lad Museum.
The Museum’s collection includes a fossilized shark tooth that is approximately 2.6 million Years ago. Wittians explored the rarely seen fossils collection of the Museum and learnt how fossils unlock the mysteries of the past.
The program was delivered by Abhishekh Arekar and is curated by Dr. A. P. Jayaraman, founder of the STEAM academy.
The experts told stories about the past by recreating environmental conditions through discovering ancient plants and animals.
