The festival of Raksha
Bandhan not only celebrates the love and duty between brothers and sisters, but
it also has a social significance. It underlines the notion that everybody should
live in harmony and hence speaks about the rich culture and traditions of India
that make our nation extraordinary. To help our children learn about the
culture of India and about the importance of friends in life, Witty
International School has celebtrated two special occasions on virtual platform
that is Rakshabandhan and Friendship day on Tuesday, August 04,2020.
The students of Grade 3 to
5 participated in the Rakhi Making and chocolate making activity and students
of Grade 6 to 8 enthusiastically participated in friendship band and friendship
photo frame making activity. All the learners made attractive rakhis,
friendship bands and friendship photo frames. They presented their self- made
rakhis very beautifully along with the other auspicious things like rice, haldi,
deepak, sugar, etc. in decorative plates in the Virtual classroom and also
expressed their love for their brother/sister by speaking few lines about them.
Students of grade 6 to 8 were also excited to share their feelings for their
friends on virtual platform.
“A little bit of sweetness can drown out a whole lot of
bitterness.” Witty believes that every
festival is incomplete without sweets. Due to Pandemic, we are not allowed to
have outside items so, Wittians came up with an idea of making chocolates at
home. On this prolific occasion, Wittians made the chocolates, wrapped them and
gifted the chocolates to their siblings and friends. Gifting chocolates to the loved ones and
friends remove all the tensions, sorrows, misunderstandings as well as brings
them together to celebrate it together by enhancing the sweetness of the
relationship.
