Republic Day Celebration By Primary Section, ICSE (2020-21), WIS, PB


May we always have the freedom to choose, freedom to live, and freedom to dream.

26th January holds an everlasting place in our national memory because it is the day when modern India was born. Witty International School celebrated the 72nd Republic day this 26th of January, 2021, with immense pride and grandeur on the virtual platform.

The National Anthem was sung as the tri coloured flag kept fluttering on the screens of one and all.The little Wittians from grade 1 and 2 came in attires dressed as different freedom fighters, they chanted various slogans, sang patriotic songs and delivered speeches on the significance of Republic Day.

Children from grade 3-5 performed a beautiful dance on mishaps of various songs dedicated to the country, a patriotic melody, an exhibition based on SUPW - Best out of waste products displayed by the students that depicted the importance of three R’s - ‘Reduce, Recycle, Reuse’. The special guest invited was the Retired Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Mr. Prakash Wani who shared some wise and valuable thoughts with the students.

The programme ended with the Vote of thanks. At last, it was shared that let us not pass this republic day as any other holiday. Instead look within and think, whether or not we are fulfilling our fundamental duties.
