Blue and bright

Sometimes to my left,

Flies my kite,
High and high above,
Touching the skies!

Field Trip To The Post Office (Grade III)......WIS,Bhilwara(15.01.16)

Rat a tat – tat,
Who is that ?
It is the postman,
With letters in a bag,
He brings letters from far and near,
From my friends who are very dear.
Field trips are means of educating ourselves on how certain things work and how we rely on certain services .Students of Grade III of Witty International School, Bhilwara went on a field trip to the Post Office. They were very excited to know about the importance of postman who collects and delivers letters. A brief about the working system of Post office and the various types of letters and stamps were explained to them. They were taken around to see how letters are collected, segregated, stamped and then stored in pigeon holes for the postmen to collect. Students also asked their queries and gained a lot of information. It was altogether a great learning experience especially in times of email and Whatsapp! It was delightful to see the excitement on the student’s faces as they posted their letters in the post box. It was a wonderful experience to cherish. No text book can give them this type of exposure which one can get from a real life.

The staff at the Post office was kind enough to explain the working of the Post office. We thank them for their kind cooperation.
