Introduction of letter 'L' in Nursey (26.09.16)

Lemonade is a lemon flavoured drink sweetened with sugar, it gives us vitamin C. The little angles of Nursery were introduced to Letter ‘L’ on 26, September 2016, Monday. The tiny tots helped the teacher to make lemonade; they mixed salt and sugar in the water. The toddlers drank the yummy lemonade. It was a fun learning experience for them.

Poem Enactment "Five Little Monkeys" by Nursery Section at WIS, MALAD (2016-2017)

5 little Monkeys jumping on the bed,

1 fell down and broke his head, 

Mamma called the doctor,

Doctor said “No more monkeys jumping on the bed”.

Poem enactments are a great way for children to express themselves which also helps in learning the rhyme.

Little Wittians of Nursery section enacted on the rhyme “Five Little Monkeys” on Tuesday, 27th September 2016. Parent’s efforts were displayed as some children came dressed in the character as Monkeys, Mamma and a Doctor. They looked adorable in the various characters. Not only that, but it is also a fun way to learn numbers upto 5; and the children had a great fun learning this rhyme in an interactive way. Children happily sang and enacted the rhyme 5 little monkeys.

Colors are fun

“Life is beautiful with different types of colors that we are booned with in nature”.

Every color has an impact on life and a fragrance that it adds to our lives. The class was adorned in yellow red and blue color. Exploring the three colors, the Wittians of WIS, Udaipur, learnt about them. They did a recap of Red, Blue and yellow colors and circle, square and triangle shapes with the help of different objects they also enjoyed doing balloon dabbing of Red, Blue and Yellow color on their worksheet.

Sparkle Talent Show by Sr.KG Section at WIS, Malad (2016-2017)

Every child is gifted and talented !
To acknowledge this saying WIS provided a rocking platform in the form of  "Sparkle Talent Show".
Saturday, 24th September 2016, saw the little Wittians of  Sr.KG, enthusiastically participate in this mesmerising event .
As our theme of the year is Make in India – the event of Sparkle Talent Show displayed our Sr.KG students with their parents participating in various categories to depict the diverse culture and tradition of India in the form of Dance, Singing, Tell a Tale and play an instrument.
' Make in India' ,A major national initiative designed to facilitate investment; foster innovation; enhance skill development; protect intellectual property, and build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure.This theme was beautifully portrayed by the kids and their enthusiastic parents and they enthralled us with their talents.The graceful dances, the melodious singing, the incredible tales and the soulful music about India and its diversity reinforced the pride and the joy of being an Indian amongst the audience.
“Your Talent is God's gift to you.What you do with it is your gift back to God.This statement could not have been more justified than what was put on display by our little Wittians.

SMILE - Workshop on Oral Hygiene and Dental Check-up, Primary Section WIS Pawan Baug

SMILE - it lets your teeth breathe!

Dental check - up helps parents know about some of the risks associated with tooth decay and ways to prevent it. Prevention and early detection can help avoid pain, trouble eating, difficulty speaking and school absences.

With this objective, Witty International School, Pawan Baug organized Dental Check-up for the students of Primary Section on Wednesday, 21^st September, 2016 and Thursday, 22^nd September, 2016. Dr. Riddhi Mehta Kothari and her team carried out a comprehensive dental check-up. The students got ample opportunities to interact with the dental surgeons to enquire and gain knowledge concerning oral diseases. On completion of the dental check-up, each student was given a dental check-up certificate, which summarized the diagnosed problem and the recommended dental treatment plan. Grade I – III students received complementary toothbrushes; while Grade IV and V students were presented with mouth wash bottles.

SMILE – Workshop on Oral Hygiene was also conducted by Dr. Riddhi Mehta Kothari at Witty International School, Pawan Baug on Friday, 23^rd September, 2016.

The workshop was initiated with dental awareness talk, educating our Wittians about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent them. The Dentist also gave demonstration to the children about proper brushing techniques. The students were highlighted about the eating patterns and food choices which cause tooth decay. During the session the students realized the importance of oral hygiene.

We highly appreciate the efforts of special team of doctors who examined the kids during the Dental Check-up Camp. We convey our gratitude to Dr. Riddhi Mehta Kothari and her team for conducting such a significant workshop and providing their valuable time to us.

 On Monday, 26^th September 2016, Playgroup children of Witty Kids were introduced to a new shape “Square”. The class was decorated with the square shape mobile hangings. “Mr.Square Head George” had come with different square shaped toys and objects along with an exciting story. Little ones enjoyed the story time. Children were encouraged to sing rhymes related to square shape. Children enjoyed doing their worksheet and having their square shape tiffin snacks. 

Indeed square day was celebrated in a fun-learning way.

Children of Playgroup did a recap of all the shapes done so far. They were shown different objects of different shapes and were encouraged to speak about its shape.

They also had a shape walk with their peers. They learnt about the shapes around them.

Let’s salute the nation on this auspicious day.

Independence Day of India is celebrated every year on 15^th of August to commemorate the sovereignty of our nation. India’s Independence Day is one of the greatest national festivals of India. On this day we salute the real Heroes who gave us freedom. It is observed by every Indian all over the India with flag-hoisting ceremony, military parades and various cultural events. Teachers and students specially celebrate this even in the schools, colleges and other educational institutions.

Independence week was observed through various activities like tri–colour fruit salad, thumb printing and tri-colour flag making conducted during Enrichment Hour. Little Wittians proudly arranged for a special assembly to celebrate 70^th Independence Day of our nation on Friday, 12^th August,2016. They expressed their love for the country through patriotic dance and songs. Some students dressed as national heroes and quoted the slogans given by them. Primary HM motivated students to be true Indians by heart.
