Field trip to the Post Office
“With the
digital age and shooting off emails and text messages, it’s that handwritten
letter that has the personal touch.”
It must have been years since we last opened our
doors for the postman. The art of writing letters has been long lost and
forgotten. So keeping at par with our curriculum, Jr.KG.
section planned a field trip to the nearby Post Office on Monday, 28 July
2014. Prior to the field trip children were made to write a letter to remind
them the art of letter writing. The field trip was a fun and informative way
for our children to learn how to compare the history of Postal services and the
technology used to send e-mails nowadays. Children enjoyed posting letters to
their parents. Such trips provide valuable and interactive life skill lessons.
Children had an exciting time and were really inquisitive. It was overall a
fun-learning experience for our kids.
Hope this field trip will also take our Witty
parents down memory lane to the days when they wrote letters to their loved
ones.
