One Nation, One Vision, One Identity
Every Indian who sacrificed their
life and struggled to attain freedom is the epitome of martyrdom. It is their
contribution to the freedom struggle that makes us proudly celebrate our 67th
Independence Day. 15th August is a day when every Indian joins hands
and unites to pay their gratitude and homage to all one’s who sacrificed their
lives and also pledge to take the country to the pinnacle of success. Feeling
of joy and pride took over the hearts of each Wittian. A spectacular assembly
imbued with fervor and patriotism was put up by students’ upto Grade 8. Young
Wittians enthusiastically delivered speeches and spoke slogans written by our
freedom fighters. It was followed by a melodious patriotic song sung by the
choir. Students of Grade 7 and 8 put up small skits that highlighted
the concept of unity in diversity that makes our Nation one of the fastest
growing democracies. The earnest efforts put in by all teachers and students to
conduct the assembly were appreciated by all. We are all proud to be Indians.
So let’s rejoice this 67th year of Independence. No Nation is
perfect; it needs to be made perfect.
