Rakshabandhan Celebration at WIS, Udaipur (Primary and Secondary)

We fight for the smallest of reasons. We laugh on the silliest of jokes,
We love stepping on each other’s toes. We watch the same Sunday shows,
This list for me is never-ending. My darling brother, you are my favourite blessing.
WIS Udaipur celebrated Rakshabandhan today. Students of Grade 1 and 2 saw a movie on Rakhi, which depicted how people celebrate this festival in different parts of India. Students of Grade 3-5 made beautiful rakhis. Besides this, Students of Grade 6 to 8 participated in ‘Thali Decoration’ activity, preparing beautiful and colourful plates, adorned with kalash, small coconuts, chocolates, greetings, kumkum and other auspicious things.
The whole idea behind conducting this activity was to increase the appreciation and solidify the faith of young souls of WIS in this bonding festival, where brothers and sisters express their internal feelings of love and affection for each other through many sweet and meaningful external gestures, the heart of which is to tie that sacred thread called Rakhi. Happy Rakshabandhan!
