flying colors.”
Games are creative and mindful expression of the
human spirit which comes out through the creation of activity that has an
entertaining, flexible, instructive and competing element. This year Witty
International School, Bhilwara witnessed Annual Sports Meet-2015 on Sunday,
January 18, which was an extravagant show of talent, grit and enthusiasm by the
ever zealous students.
Chief Guest Mr. Subhash ji
Sharma, District Education officer (Preliminary) and the guest of honour Mr. Jai Kumar Patni, President Lions Club (Star) were welcomed
by the students with a lovely welcome song. The chief guest addressed the
students wherein he outlined briefly the value of sports and games in student’s
life and possibilities of career options in this field. Then the Chief Guest
declared the sports meet open and released the balloons. The formal inaugural
function followed by displaying pyramids, yoga, aerobics and drill.
This year sports meet included various
concept based races such as balancing race, love the country, completing face, love
animals, sack race , go green etc. Students also gave message of “Swachcha
Bharat” by picking and throwing garbage in apt dustbins. The bevy of events for the day included long jump, medicine ball throw,
slow cycling and relay race.
The afternoon’s
anticipation ended with the declaration of the results. Apart from teaching good values such as, sportsmanship,
proper spirit of competition, team-spirit, co-operation, discipline in the
field, etc. Annual Sports Day made school life lively and interesting. The
experience of Synergy 2014-2015 was both exciting and rewarding.
