ENJOYING JUNK FOOD THE
HEALTHY WAY
National
Junk food day celebrates one day freedom to have junk food.
Junk food are foods that do no good to our body and they are
completely unimportant.Junk food looks
attractive and yummy but contains little nutritional value.
The
good taste is because of high amounts sugar, fat and salt. Consuming these
foods in high amounts can lead to depression and obesity due to which growing
children lose on their self-esteem and confidence.
At Witty International School we encourage
healthy growth of the students for which healthy eating habits are important.
National Junk Food Day was celebrated at RCL School. Students of the Primary
section showed
their culinary skills by preparing healthy Sev Puri where Brown Bread and healthy toppings such as
cucumber, tomatoes, sprouts, capsicum and carrot replaced the oily puris and
potatoes. Students learnt how junk food could be converted into healthy food
with little ingenuity.
