“Health is Wealth”
being the Annual Theme this year, Witty
International School, Pawan Baug celebrated National Doctors’ Day by inviting
renowned medical practitioners to the school for an interactive session with
the Wittians. National Doctors’ Day is celebrated on July 1, all across India
to honor the legendary physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal,
Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy.
This observance
fulfills a need to show that doctors and physicians are very valuable assets in
our community. The celebrations are indicative of the respect that they command
in the lives of their patients and thus obligate them to fulfill their
responsibilities as we are indebted to their selfless service. As quoted by the
Principal, Mr. Bijo Kurian, “Aided by modern scientific innovation, the
boundaries of medical technology have extended to unimaginable limits.
Nevertheless, even with all these technological innovations, the position of
doctors in society hasn't diminished; doctors remain indispensable.”
Witty International
School has always been instrumental in providing various health programmes by
emphasizing on the age old saying, ‘A healthy mind in a healthy body.’ Dr.
Aashish Bacchav, Dr. Arvind Dhar and Dr.

various health related issues.

all the queries raised by the students and he was very impressed with the
inquisitive minds of the Wittians.
Dr. Arvind Dhar
guided the students with simple steps that can be taken to promote healthy eating.
The students were given a nutrition programme on “Changing the way we Eat.”.
