Independence Day Celebrated by Pre -primary Section WIS,Malad [2015-16]

                                                           Independence Day

The midnight of August 15, 1947 is memorable for every Indian on earth, as it was the time, when India gained independence from the stranglehold of the British. The otherwise vanquished tri-coloured flag of India was given its due respect, when it was hoisted at midnight on the Independence Day. Since then, the red-letter day is celebrated with pomp and gaiety, across the country. Cultural programs and flag-hoisting ceremonies are the predominant. People indulge themselves in remembering the heroes of the freedom struggle and pay homage to them.

                    Others might have forgotten;
                    But never can I;
                    The Flag of my country;
                    Furls very high!

On this Auspicious day, our little Wittians of the Pre-primary section celebrated this day by doing various art and craft activities, and also inculcated the theme into their cooking activities.

The overall experience of the Pre-Primary Wittians was an overwhelming one and very knowledgable.
