“Freedom is never dear at any price it
is the breath of life.”
As our country celebrates the 69th
Indian Independence Day on 15th August 2015, WIS Bhilwara celebrated
this day with the eternal fervour of patriotism and instilled the importance of
being a true Indian in the core, in children.
It was a proud moment for Wittians of
Bhilwara to have a very special guest who was born before independence and
witnessed the freedom struggle. She unfurled the National flag of India. The flag hoisting ceremony was followed
by the speeches which emphasized the importance of acknowledging the great
struggle made by our freedom fighters and the challenges our nation faces
today. The day urged the students to be responsible and patriotic
citizens and prepare themselves to serve the nation in their individual
capacities.
Students
were enthusiastic and thrilled to participate in the celebrations and some of
them sang patriotic songs and recited poems, remembering the heroes of the
freedom struggle. Students listed many ways to move towards independence, which
also meant self sustainability, self reliance and self worth. The passion and energy level of the students
were contagious and the staff also had their share of fun in the celebrations
of independence. At the end Ma’am Principal gave a
speech laying emphasis on the importance of Independence Day and urged the
students to become responsible citizens and prepare themselves to serve the
nation as a good leader, administrator, engineer, doctor etc.
It was a great experience
for the students as well as for the teachers.
