Arts and crafts describe a wide variety of activities
involving making things with one's own hands. Arts and crafts are usually a hobby. Some crafts (art
skills) have been practiced for centuries, others are more recent inventions.
Today, students of Witty
International School, Bhilwara learned the skill of paper quiling and gift
wrapping with all sorts of waste materials. Students of Grade I to IV learnt
about paper quilling that is the art of rolled paper. They made different
patterns and materials with paper quiling like envelopes, wall hangings etc. Students
of Grade V to VIII enthusiastically participated in gift wrapping activity, where
they did best use of waste materials to wrap fruits, dry fruits etc. Students learnt
these skills by inventing, experimenting, following instructions and having
fun.
