APJ Abdul Kalam - An Epitome Of Simplicity And Humility.
15th October birthday of Dr. APJ Abdul
Kalam was celebrated as No School Bag Day to encourage reading habits amongst
the students.
At Witty International School RCL, (Primary) the
day was observed as a day of learning without textbooks. Various activities
were conducted to mark the significance of this day. Students were asked to
bring any one non academic book of their choice. Reading sessions were
conducted, both in classroom and in the school library. Loud reading was
encouraged. Along with the books written by Dr. Kalam, various other books were displayed in the
school library.
The celebration included a short skit ‘School
Topper’ presented by the students of grade 4 on one of Dr. Kalam’s childhood
experience. Inspiring quotes by Dr. Kalam were discussed.
