Joy of Giving

or The Joy of Giving Week. The Joy of Giving Week (JGW) is a
"festival of generosity" that aims to become a part of the
Indian ethos, with the Week being celebrated every year covering Gandhi Jayanti
by engaging people through "acts of giving" - money, time,
resources and skills - spanning the corporate, NGO and government sectors,
schools, colleges and the general public.
As
part of the Joy of Giving week, WIS Primary Section (RCL), Students
contributed to the noble cause by donating toys, clothes, stationary and other things
of daily use. These were donated to Prem Sadan,
a home for about 80
underprivileged children
in
Madh Island. This home is
looked after by Sister Regin and Sister Bharati.
Different articles were distributed
amongst the children which brought a smile on their face. Teachers experienced
a feeling of joy and contentment. Teachers also expressed gratitude towards the
students contribution.
