CARE – EYE CARE AWARENESS PROGRAMME
The Primary Section of Witty
International School, Pawan Baug conducted Eye care awareness workshop on 1st
July, 2016 for the students of Grade I – V.
This occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. Shraddha Modi, an Ophthalmologist.
The session was not only informative but also interactive focusing on
increasing the awareness of eye care amongst the Wittians as most of the
child’s learning in the growing age is accomplished by vision. During the
session the students realised the importance of taking good care of their eyes.
In this ‘Techno-friendly’ generation where majority of the time is spent in
front of the computers, smart-phones, laptops or tablets, such an informative
session was an eye-opener for many.
Students were reiterated with the importance of eating green vegetables,
getting eyes checked once every 6 months, doing eye-exercises and more emphasis
was given on the side effects of spending a lot of time in front of their
laptops and reading in bad-light or with a wrong posture.
Students benefited themselves by many
healthy tips for their eyes and how to keep their eye safe. We are sure that
our little Wittians would go home as ‘Little Eye Doctors’ for themselves as
well as for their families.
