Winter Festival

India is known as the land of contrast and diverse elements. There are many seasons and festivals that give glimpses to this encyclopaedic dichotomy of emotions, sights and the changes that happen as the seasons go by. Students of the primary section of Witty International School (RCL) enthusiastically participated in the winter fest showcasing the winter harvest festivals of India namely Lohri, Pongal and Makar Sankranti.

The programme started with students enacting as ChotaBheem and Chutki giving Information on the winter festivals of India, followed by a Pongal Dance. Teachers also participated heartily sensitizing the students on the ill effects of kite flying through a puppet show. Lohri celebrations were beautifully enacted. The program culminated with the students and teachers dancing on the bhangra beats.

The festivals were celebrated with great gaiety and splendour.
