Art is the expression or application of human creative skill
and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture,
producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional
power. The various branches of creative activity, such as painting, music,
literature, and dance are considered as an art.
Art Appreciation is the knowledge
and understanding of the universal and timeless qualities that identify all
great art. The more we appreciate and understand the art of
different eras, movements, styles and techniques, the better we can develop,
evaluate and improve our own art work.
International
Art Appreciation Day was celebrated with great energy at Witty International
School, Atun Road, Bhilwara on Tuesday, August 08, 2017. Students of
Grade V presented a special assembly on this occasion. Students came dressed up
as Lata Mangeshkar, Sudha Chandran, Zakhir Hussain, Michael Jackson, Charlie
Chaplin etc. They remembered these great personalities and tried to act their
skills. At the end Sir Principal guided the students and told them that art is
an essential part of our enlightment process.
