Freedom is the power to choose our own
chains. Bastille Day is a day of celebrations of the French culture. 14th July
commemorates the anniversary of storming of the Bastille and marked the
beginning of the French Revolution in 1789. Witty International School, Pawan
Baug recently celebrated the French National Day as a Frenchtastic Week.
Activities were planned for the students of
Grade I-V, where they enthusiastically made the Eiffel Tower and coloured the
French Flag during the Enrichment Hour. With the help of these week-long
activities, students learnt a lot about the French culture and heritage.
Wittians had also put up a marvellous show to
showcase their talents at the Fete Culturelle, a Sparkle Event. Students of
Grade V hosted the show. A welcome traditional French dance was performed by
the students followed by students disguised in different French aspects and
showcased their skills in speaking the language. The students also put up a
French song and stunned the onlookers with stupendous performances.
All in all, it was one fantabulous week. Our students and teachers were
actively involved in the French National Day celebrations where they displayed
an appreciation of the multi-cultural world as WIS believes to inspire and
educate students in a holistic way.
