Independence Day
This is the day when our nation sings,
This is the day when the liberty bell rings,
This is the day when we all remember,
And we celebrate our “Independence Day”
“At the
stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake
to life and freedom.”
These were
the words of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on the eve of India’s Independence Day,
15th August 1947.
Witty
kids celebrated the 72nd Independence Day of our nation on Tuesday, 14th
August 2018 with great fervour. All classes were
decorated in our national flag’s colours to create an atmosphere of festivity.
Children came dressed in tri-colour clothes, colours which complimented the
zeal that they showed while participating in the various Independence Day
activities. Our little wittians assembled in the lobby with their teachers
where they sang National anthem, “Hum honge Kamyaab” and even recited our
National pledge along with their teachers. Children from JR.KG section made tricolour
sandwiches and coloured our National Flag using crepe papers.
Today the day was full of Patriotism.
“Jai Hind”
