‘Grandparents sprinkle stardust over the lives of every child.’
Witty Kids believe that progress with
values, ascent with firm roots of family bonds, and academic excellence with compassion
are the essential ingredients for the holistic development of a child. What better
way there could be for the young generation to express their love, respect and gratitude
towards their Grandparents on a day especially dedicated to them!! On the occasion
of Grandparents Day, Witty Kids, Chikoowadi organized Deepotsav - Diwali Mela
in the school premises on 2 November 2018. A day when the grandparents were the Guests
of Honour and were accorded a warm welcome. The whole school wore a festive
look with pots, diyas and lanterns adorning the reception and corridors of the
school.
Grandparents and grandchildren enthusiastically
participated in games like Crack the Suduko and Guess the Tale. They together
enjoyed decorating diyas and using different
props at the Photobooth corner to capture the beautiful memories of the day.
The Magic show left the audience spellbound. The tattoo making section was the
centre of attraction where students eagerly waited for their favourite tattoo
to be inked on the arm. The event of the day was the corner where the
grandchild had to pick a prop and the grandparent had to sing a song picturised
on it. The enthusiasm with which the grandparents participated in the event was
commendable and heart-warming. The children were very excited to see their
grandparents participate in the games and cheered them wholeheartedly. Finally
the grandparents enjoyed dancing to the beats of garba music. The happiness and light of goodness was in
the air. To add to this exquisite evening, beautiful take-away made by the
students for their grandparents proved to be a cherry on the cake.
The event ended on a high note, with
greetings of “Happy Diwali” echoing in the school campus, everyone fully
satiated with the love and companionship of each other, and with the hope that
the coming year brings much more love, good health and gaiety in everyone’s
lives.
