Eyes are like an Ocean, in which our Dreams are reflected.”
Eyes are one of the most complex organs in our body. We rely
on our eyes to navigate and understand the world around us. A regular eye test is the best way to protect our eyesight
and an easy precaution to take, as many sight-threatening diseases can be cured
or slowed if detected early enough. Witty Kids has consistently taken
initiatives for the well-being of its students and has undertaken strong
intervention in improving health care. As a part of the healthcare drive and on
the occasion of Doctors Day, an Eye checkup camp was organized for the students
of Grade I
- VI. The camp was conducted by ophthalmologist Dr.
Jigar Maniar and his team. Dr. Jigar
Maniar has an experience
of over 14 years as an Ophthalmologist and is associated as Consultant at
Borivali Gujarati Seva Samaj hospital.
The doctors brought well-equipped eye examination tools to
examine the students effectively and screened the
students to detect any refractive errors or eye ailments. They assured that
a record of each child was being maintained for future reference.
Treatment, if required was mentioned on the certificate.
An eye care awareness talk for the students of grade IV – VI educated
them about various aspects of eye care and how to keep the eyes healthy for a better vision. The camp was very
beneficial for the students.
