Van Mahotsav celebration at WIS, Udaipur (2019 - 2020)


“Earth stays in joy when we plant a tree, beneath the ground, roots feel free” .
 Trees are revered for their spiritual, life giving and life sustaining function on our planet. Witty resolutely believes that there is nothing more sacrosanct than the comprehensive and spirited involvement of people power. To celebrate the festival of trees called Van Mahotsav, scholars of Grade I – V participated in multifarious activities orchestrated in a weeklong event.The week commenced with Plantation Activity in the school campus for the scholars of Grade I-III (CBSE and CAIE). An informative session was conducted to create awareness among Wittians on the usage and importance of trees. With an aim to elevate cognizance towards the significance of forests and to foster appreciation of trees and conservation, orchestrated a plantation activity for the scholars of Grade IV and V on July 6 , 2019.To commemorate Van Mahotsav, Wittians contributed towards inception of an aesthetic landscape by transplanting saplings at Gokuleshwar temple. They learnt about the process of plantation and myriad activities which involved maintenance of the saplings, soil conservation etc and also participated in the Slogan Writing activity.
