Christmas trees.
The soothing, serene and calming colour, colour
green was introduced to the children of Nursery. The class was decorated with
green colour objects and children were also dressed- up in green colour out
fits. Children experienced some magical moments when they mixed together blue
and yellow and came up with the whole new colour "GREEN!!"
Gardening activity was planned to give first hand
acquaintance with nature and also to give an idea to grow more trees and save
trees.The activity was conducted in the school by the Nursery
section.Teacher showed children how to plant seeds. Children enthusiastically
participated by putting the seeds in mud, and then watering their earthen pots
and coconut shells for the seeds to grow. The entire activity will further be
supervised and the same will be watered on a daily basis.
This activity not only taught them to plant and save trees, but they also learnt germination of seeds by practically doing it themselves.
