This is the day when our nation sings,
This is the day when the liberty bell rings,
This is the day when we all remember,
And we celebrate our “Independence Day”
Rakhi is the symbol of love between brother and sister,
It’s such a great feeling.
This is a festival of bonding and
Renewing the love for siblings.
Happy Raksha Bandhan

Kids Chikoowadi celebrated Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan on Tuesday, 14th August
2019 with great enthusiasm.The
children were informed that Independence Day is celebrated on 15th of
August of every year because India became a free and independent nation on 15th August
1947. Children were also given information about the national symbols such as
National Flag, National Anthem, National Emblem, National Bird and National
Animal.
A
special assembly was held where children said the school Prayer and sang the
National Anthem. Children also sang a patriotic song "Ae Watan Watan"
and performed a skit on Raksha Bandhan celebration.
The Independence Day celebration included activity sessions wherein SR.KG
children drew and coloured National flag in scrap book. They also brought tri
colour fruits in their tiffin to make yummy fruit salad.
The school was vividly decorated with colourful Rakhis and tricolour
decoration to celebrate
the rich Indian culture and tradition. All the Wittian’s made colourful Rakhis
and decorative envelopes.
