Calligraphy workshop held at WIS,Atun Road, Bhilwara (Grade 3 to 9, 23.01.2020)

Lettering creates readable art that comes to life, displaying a quirky, whimsical nature.”

Computers have changed the way we communicate, neglecting our handwriting skills in favour of keyboard proficiency. As a result, fewer people are practicing calligraphy, revealing a “handwriting crisis” among today’s adolescents. So to consummate the need of hour, Witty International School, Atun road Bhilwara organized a workshop on Calligraphy for the students of grades 3 to 9 on Thursday, January 23,2019 . Under the expert guidance of Mrs Babita Bansal, (director of Kaladala Art Gallery and Institute) students came up with some beautiful pieces of dexterity. Mrs Bansal very creatively and skillfully step by step walked our students through the cultural penmanship handed down from generation to generation.

Students had a great time meticulously scribbling with pencils and playing with colours. The workshop turned out to be very meaningful for the students since the workshop on calligraphy not only honed their writing skills, but also trained the students on unique structure and the beauty of the language.

The principal of the school encouraged the students to take out time to doodle with colors and express creative freedom exercising their writing skills. It never hurts to tap your inner creativity with help from pen and paper.
