Mysteries under the Sea
The world under the
sea is steeped in mysteries and wonder. To reveal the most mysterious creatures
of the sea, Witty International School, Borivali organized a workshop to make
the students aware about some amazing ocean facts.
Nitya Agrawal and
Ocean expert, Sachin Rane associated with Wildnest, took the students on a
virtual tour exposing the biodiversity hidden under the ocean.
The students were
given detailed information about the zones of ocean, marine mammals, fishes and
reptiles. He spoke about various ocean creatures like Octopus, Portuguese Man
O’ War, Whale shark, Indian ocean Humpback Dolphin, Olive Ridley turtle,
Leatherback turtle, Sea Krait, Bryde’s whale, Dugong, Mantis Shrimp, Squids,
Hook- nosed sea snake, Sting ray, Blue button jellyfish, etc
Students were made
aware about ocean conservation and protection of marine life. It was an
informative and fruitful workshop which proved to give an advantageous
experience.
